Vasakronan

When Britny, after winning a pitch, started to work with Vasakronan and Johan Ronnestam in the beginning of 2011 with their new digital platform there were several areas that needed adressing. Vasakronan didn't think their website spoke to their audience. That's why the swedish real estate giant chose to build their new website in Wordpress after recommendations from Johan Ronnestam. The Wordpress solution gave Vasakronan a more dynamic site prepared for future changes on the web. Britny and Johan Ronnestam was in charge of design, producing and concept.

With their new website, Vasakronan wanted to clarify the interface and make ot more user friendly. Both internally and externally. That is one of the reasons that Vasakronan chose, on recomendation from Johan Ronnestam, to with Wordpress as a platform.

It's not a usual commodity that a company of Vasakronans stature choose to work with wordpress (which started out as a blogging tool). A more advanced system like Episerver is usually the preference which is why eyebrows were raised when Vasakronan chose Wordpress.

To simplify maintenance of the site further big parts are witten in the new formats CSS3 and HTML5. This makes the site faster, more dynamic and easier to update. The using of CSS3 and HTML5 creates options that previously only were achievable through Flash. Another big advantage is that the site works in most browsers, on both computer and phone.
