New site for Erasmus
Background
Erasmus is a program that helps students from Sweden to go study in Europe. The program increases mobility for students and teachers. Erasmus simplifies translating grades inside the European Union into Swedish grades.
Their first website launched in 2008.
The Brief
The new website creates a digital venue for students where they can get information on Erasmus and on how they apply for studies abroad. The goal is to increase the amount of students using the service from 3000 to 6000.
Solution
The solution focused on low thresholds for the users, interactivity and viral distribution.
We created a website based on the open source-tool Drupal, which contained a digital map that helped to create a global feeling.
Every student that study abroad can blog directly on the website about how their everyday life is.
Through different Facebook connects the users get the opportunity to comment on the blog. This also increases the viral distribution of the site.
Another part of the mission was to create a Facebook Page to Erasmus, we mirrored the website directly on to Facebook to elevate recognition and please those who don't want to leave Facebook.
You can find the page here!
