Stop the presses: Britny presents DNgallerian!

Since the first issue left the presses in 1864 the sharp pens have been among the most important news sources and opinion makers, today Dagens Nyheter is Sweden's largest daily newspaper. But the brand offers so much more than news – as the new DNgallerian is a good example of.

Our role in Dagens Nyheters story began in autumn 2009, when we were invited to introduce ourselves. DN had already decided on a web shop, but they had not found a partner with the right skills, so our timing could not have been better.

A challenge for us was to create a web shop that feels like a natural part of DN.se, but is not to be confused with the journalistic content.

This required a meticulous research and frequent reconciliations with the client. In the process we were responsible for both the strategy and the design and the result was nothing less than a success. Immediately after the launch, we received a message that the sales had exceeded all expectations – without any advertising.
